American Design provided comprehensive architectural services for the Racine Street Bridge in Menasha, WI.  The new bascule bridge will connect downtown Menasha with Doty Island and replace their current bridge with a new architectural landmark.  The scope of this project included a new bridge house, unifying pedestals, and attention to the overall bridge and retaining walls’ aesthetics.  To do this, ADI created a full 3D model of the new bridge, river, and downtown Menasha to help convey overall design intent and its effect on the downtown area.  ADI has experience designing many bridge houses in Wisconsin, with many of them being in downtown Milwaukee.  Each bridge house is unique to the city and neighborhood which they provide service and access to.
