Union South far surpassed its original sustainability goal and was awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold status. This new campus building was designed with extensive student input and includes outdoor terraces, a hotel, a conference center, a bowling alley, retail space, a climbing and bouldering wall, space for student organizations and an entertainment venue featuring a pub and space for live performances. Other features include a coffee shop, underground parking, food service, full kitchen, rooms for campus visitors and an art gallery. ADI’s responsibilities included providing assistant project management, on-site administrative support, peer review/quality control of bid documents and construction documents, providing an internship to a local college student and coordination of the minority participation plan to assist in meeting MBE project goals.
