Heide Hall services both the College of Arts & Communication and the College of Letters & Sciences and had not been remodeled or improved since it opened in 1965. Through this renovation project, American Design was able to successfully address the needs of this highly used campus teaching space.  The project called for removal of an existing projection booth and replacement of fixed tables and seating.  A platform at the front of the lecture hall was also removed to allow for an accessible route to the presentation area.  New ceiling, wall and floor finishes throughout.  Updates were done to the lighting, including an integral on/off/dimming control at the instructor’s console, along with HVAC distribution and wireless network access upgrades.  Equipment, such as a whiteboard, two motorized presentation screens, a video imager, laser disk player, region-free VCR/DVD, document cam, smart podium, touch panel control system, two ceiling mounted video projectors and a comprehensive sound system were also part of the project.
